Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Green Building & Energy Consultant to enhance our program team. This role is pivotal in providing top-tier energy efficiency and sustainable building consulting services across California. Ideal for professionals with 1-5 years in the green building or energy sectors, this role offers a blend of office and field work, from conducting energy audits to overseeing the full lifecycle of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary consultant on diverse building projects, guiding them from inception through to certification.
  • Develop and review green building checklists, energy models, and project scopes.
  • Offer technical assistance and project support to ensure adherence to all guidelines, codes, and standards.
  • Maintain meticulous project data within our CRM system and generate detailed reports for management and clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive energy audits and property-level energy benchmarking using tools like ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
  • Collaborate closely with team members across engineering, outreach, and operations to deliver project excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong foundation in technical concepts of building science, energy systems, and sustainable practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and capable of conducting independent research.
  • Experience with CRM systems and familiarity with design and construction processes preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25% for site visits within California.
